July 2009 Prayer Letter

As uncomfortable as raising funds remains, I’m starting to enjoy many aspects of deputation. Like the fact that I’m reminded that I’m not alone in my mission work. Although I’d rather be out on the field, being here keeps me in touch with the reality that I can’t be out on the field without you behind me. It has been a wonderful time getting to know so many of my partners in ministry. When I’m halfway across the world, I can easily forget how much my supporters partake in my ministry. Many of you energize me with your prayers. I’m so encouraged when someone approaches me to tell me how much they pray for me. It’s wonderful to have your hearts and minds with me.

Recently, I’ve also been humbled by the selflessness of my financial supporters as well. I know of at least two of my donors who have committed to pledge monthly even though one of their family members was without a job. I’ve been surprised by so many who give without thought to themselves. Every gift challenges me to ask what else I can give to God and others.

Thank you all so much for your continued love. Please keep me in your prayers as I continue to look for support. I want to be back on the mission field as soon as possible. I constantly get questions asking about how soon I’ll be able to come. Trans World Radio is short staffed in the computer and tech department, especially in South Africa. Pray that God will send the money I need for my travels and work in South Africa.

Please feel free to write or call me with any questions you have. My e-mail address and phone number are listed at the bottom of the page. I look forward to hearing from many you.
